At present, as the development of technology, lots of advanced control laws have appeared in the area of ship control. People are trying to find a control platform for ships with which these advanced control law can be validated.On the basis of above aims, the thesis makes the ship control model. The whole system is covers four parts: the ship model with all kinds of facility which is dwindled in equal proportion with the real ship, the control board of ship model and upper computer (the master PC on shore).The first part, the physical foundation of the system, is controlled by the control board of the ship model. The control board is communicated with the master PC through RF Transmitter: the master PC sends the control order which is decoded by the control board ,and then manipulates the all ship facilities to work as required. Real -Time Feedback of the control board returns the current state of ship model to the master PC ,which analyzes the state information, and resends the control orders according to the appropriate algorithm. A whole closed-loop control is obtained.The thesis is composed of four sections. Firstly, the research background of the subject is presented briefly. Secondly, the basic operation principle of the ship, including rudder effect, propulsion and resistance of the ship and operability, is described in detail, which is the necessary theoretical basis for making control model. Thirdly, it puts forward the hardware circuit design of the model board and the control sections of AT89C52 and AT89C2051 based on the difference of the control chip, involving the concerned A/D, D/A, RS485 voltage converting circuits, RS232 serial extended circuit, PWM signal generator circuit, Power Supply and reset circuit. Fourthly, it introduces the software part design of the control board which is shown in the third part, illuminate the realization process of the software corresponding to the hardware respectively.
