Research On The Digital Chopping AC Voltage Regulator

This paper briefly introduced the basic principle and the development trend of ac chopper technology. The firt half of the paper concerned about the theoretical analysis of ac chopper circuit .Firstly, the topology of ac choppers are reseached. Then the small-signal model using the small-signal circuit theory is given. In section III, a review of switching control stage for ac chopper is presented.Forthmore,to achieve the soft-switching technology the snubber theory is introduced into this paper. At last, some applications are given in section V.The rest of the paper is about a design of a 20kw/16kHz digital-control there-phase ac voltage regulator.The there-phase Cuk ac chopper topology is used for this ac power . A Mega48 MCU of Atmel company is use for the main control unit,to reduce the control system.By using the theoretical analysis given before, the circuit model of there-phase Cuk ac chopper is presented and ,the control system and control circuit are desigend.To validate the corrections of the theoretical analysis and the design , a simulation with PSPICE is given,and a equipment has been built.The result has testified that the performance of the proposed ac power is goog.Tt has the advantag of high sinioul output, simply structur and low cost.
