Crankshaft is the total power output hub in the engine. The operating crankshaft has overall deformation because of high and low ranges of the main bearing, or ballast change, the hull deformation. The deflection of crankshaft is one of the most important parameters for the state of the crank, the more crankshaft deflection, the more serious deformation of the crank. By measuring the deflection of crankshaft to understand overall of the crankshaft axis, and prevent the fracture of crankshaft, thereby reducing economic losses and to prevent accidents.This paper provides an object-oriented interface for the Visual Basic (VB) language tool to diesel engine crankshaft deflection as the research object, established some data for the crankshaft deflection analysis and realized the design of the data processing system.First of all, from the importance of crankshaft, this paper introduced the concept of crankshaft and measurement methods and the impact of factors, several commonly used method for data processing had been referred to. All of them are laying a theoretical foundation for the content of this article after.Then, on the basis of describing a variety of serial interface standards and electrical specifications, a serial communication circuits had been designed. By using the standard MSComm of VB, and in accordance with the use of properties and events, realizing the VB serial communication. At the same time, for the VB interface preparation of the data processing system to achieve the various modules, including: user registration, data entry, data mapping, data storage, and system maintenance, the five functional modules. It can realize basic data processing and understand the bending direction and size of crankshaft.Finally, gave a briefing on the basis of BP neural network knowledge and use the highly nonlinear fit function of BP to the crank forecast center distance in marine diesel engine. For the own characteristics of BP, carry on a series of work as network design, actual forecasts and data measurement. Based on MATLAB, a process had been compiled to establish training networks with test data. And then use the samples data to forecast the crank in marine diesel engine. In order to provide a theoretical basis to prevent fatigue failure of the crankshaft, to prevent further accidents and protect the safety of ships.
