The vacuum drainage system inside buildings and outside buildings is a innovation for the traditional drainage system. At present, the vacuum drainage technology overseas, with abundant experiences, has matured. However, there are no domestic specifications or standards of the vacuum drainage system inside buildings and outside buildings. Therefore, it is practical and useful to research the standardization of this system's design.Firstly, the operation mechanism of vacuum drainage system is studied in this dissertation. Through the analyzing of flowing deformation characteristics of sewage under vacuum and transportation ability of gas pressure in pipelines, the rule of the gas -phase flow deformation, as a power source of vacuum system, is found out. The analysis model of gas-liquid two-phase flow, on which the eduction of the formulas of conductance, average molecular free length and pressure drop loss is based, is determined.And then, the calculation approaches of vacuum pipelines and vacuum station are studied in this dissertation. Based on the foreign design regulations and standards of vacuum drainage system, and combining with successful experiences and relevant data in our country, we not only summarize the design approaches of vacuum drainage inside buildings and outside buildings respectively, but also bring up calculation approaches and procedures, which are theoretical and practicable. Meanwhile, taking two projects of inside buildings and outside buildings as examples, we demonstrated carefully that how to design vacuum drainage system in practical project .Using approaches and procedures in this dissertation, we calculated the designed flow, pipe diameter, pressure drop loss, and vacuum degree of pipes. The above results were used to design and calculate the parameters of vacuum station equipment, vacuum pump, sewage pump and equipment selection of vacuum storage tank, sewage storage tank vacuum pump, and sewage pump. The final calculation results indicates that the specific design approaches, which provided in this dissertation, is valuable to refer to and practicable in reality.Lastly, some demands are put forward on the pipe and annex installation and construction of the vacuum drainage system for references. The regulations can be used for guiding the actual construction of vacuum drainage system .So that the whole design will be much more perfect and it will be helpful to the application of the vacuum drainage technology.
