Sichuan Baima 300MW CFB Demonstration project is the supporting project of the imported international advanced technology for large-scale CFB clean-coal power-generation, which has long-term strategic significance. For the success of this project, National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) founded a coordinating-directing group, and National Electric Power Corporation and China Machinery Industry Federation founded a working team separately. By the effort of the involved parties, Sichuan Baima Project came into construction in May, 2003, and 168 hours combination trial run finished in April 2007. With the commitment by NDRC, Sichuan province DRC made preliminary acceptance for Sichuan Baima 300MWCFB Demonstration Project, this project is accepted as: project quality is excellent, the main performance achieves or exceeds the design valve, the success of Baima project construction and large-scale CFB technology importation, indicating a higher level of CFB technology of China, establishing a foundation for CFB technology of China in the world.CFB boiler has some merits as large fuel feasibility, low SO2 and NOx emission, and high load regulation capability, which has been shown in Baima project. Studying and absorbing 300MWCFB boiler operation performance and then making successful experiences worthy to be a reference for the similar boiler, which is useful to extend large-scale CFB technology and push ahead the studying and developing of larger-scale CFB boiler.
