Along with development of our country economy, minibus of the domestically produced obtains more and more the widespread used, so the safety performance of minibus is more and more taken by the people.Using the method of computation hydromechanics and FLUENT of large-scale commercial CFD software carries on numerical simulation on minibus' external flow field. Firstly, the common two equations turbulence modeling including standard k-e model, RNG k-e model, SST k-ωmodel are introduced and compared. Then using these three kinds of turbulence modeling carry on numerical simulation on obtuse Ahmed' external flow field. The result is compared with the result of wind tunnel experiment, so the most superior computation model is selected. This article selects the SST turbulence modeling to take numerical simulation on minibus' external flow field.The quality of grid also is greatly affects the calculation precision, the configurable grid, the non- configurable grid and the mix grid has respective good and bad points, therefore according to objective parameter of the minibus' flow field design several kinds plan of compartmentalizing grid , and discuss their good and bad points. The superior plan of compartmentalizing grid is selected.The minibus has installed rear spoiler with the different shape, the different angle, the different position and the different method . The aerodynamic properties these models are analyzed, through their result of numerical simulation analysis and the contrast, we clearly understand that the unique function which the aerodynamic properties of minibus displayed. Through the computation analysis, we realize the air flow mechanism around the minibus and analyzed the production principle of minus rise force around rear spoiler and cauda eddy how to affect resistance.After computation simulation installment external flow field of the minibus with rear spoiler, proposed reasonable installment of the shape, the position and the angle. Rear spoiler not only makes the automobile the aerodynamic lift to reduce, but also can effectively reduce the resistance and availably lower the resistance that car be subjected to.
