The Dynamical Tuned Gyroscopes Inclinometer is a type of instrument which measures orientations under oil wells. Its kernel is a Dynamical Tuned Gyroscopes and two accelerometers. They are Orthogonal to each other. Dynamical Tuned Gyroscopes measure the horizontal parts and Vertical parts of Earth's rotation velocity; the two accelerometers measure the horizontal parts and Vertical parts of the local acceleration of gravity. All of the parameters are managed via some algorithms, and then the slope angle, azimuth and tool face angle, which are needed in oil exploration, are obtained.First of all, this paper expatiates Gyroscopes principle, introduces composes of a lot of kinds of Gyroscopes. Compared with the advantages and disadvantages of those Gyroscopes, the category of Gyroscopes used in inclinometer is confirmed. Meanwhile, many types of accelerometers are recommended in this paper. Compared with the merits and demerits, the sort of accelerometers use in inclinometer is confirmed. Based on this, this paper illuminates the hardware and software designs of control circuits based on Dynamical Tuned Gyroscopes Inclinometer in detail. It includes a force feedback system and a data acquisition system. The force feedback system consists of preamplifier, band-pass filter, phase demodulation, correction network and power amplify and it is one of most significant parts in Inclinometer. The data acquisition system is constitutive of signal preconditioning circuits, an analog multiplexer, a follower, A/D converter and a CPLD chip. Compared with data acquisition system based MCU, the data acquisition system based on CPLD has improved anti-jamming performance. Its timing control is designed and achieved by using VHDL on QuartusⅡ5.0.After the hardware and software design finished, they are mounted in the Inclinometer, and then the tests of Dynamical Tuned Gyroscopes Inclinometer are processed in lab and in the field. The performance tests indicate that the error of the azimuth is less than 1°and the error of slope angle is less than 1°.The test results indicate that the instrument reaches the engineering requirements of oil and gas explorations (the error of the azimuth≤±2°,the error of slope angle≤±1°).The research of this instrument provides our country with a new measure method to explore deep oil and gas.
