With the improvement of people's life, people have higher requirements for automobile comfort. So it is important to reduce automobile's vibration and noise. Transmission is one of the most important components, which directly influences various automobile's performances. In recent years, with the increment of transmission's load and velocity and the improvement of engine's vibration, structural vibration of transmission is becoming more and more prominent.My article mainly includes: Firstly, transmission vibration transfer paths and vibration theory are researched, and methods to study automobile transmission vibration and their corresponding solutions are concluded. Transmission and bevel gear's torsion vibration equations are established using transfer matrix method. The relationship between engine's excited frequency and natural frequency are analyzed. Secondly, solid models are constructed using CATIA software, which includes gear boxes, axles, synchronizers etc. Modal analysis of gear boxes are conducted using ANSYS software, verified by modal test analysis which provides bases for further structural parameter analysis. The effects of gear box's strengthened plates and thickness on its solid frequency are analyzed.Transmission and bevel gear's natural frequency, modal sharp and frequency response function are gained. Resonant points between engine and transmission and corresponding engine speeds are acquired. Some rules are gained based on study of the effects of gear box's parameters on its whole solid frequency. It is useful for designer to design transmission and match engine.
