Based on the summary of several studies about bubbling fluidized bed combustion(BFBC) ash applied to building materials, the ground BFBC ash used for cement and concrete was studied by the means of grinding mill,XRD,EDS,mortar strength test,ready-mixed concrete and high performance concrete test, and durability test for concrete in this paper. Results indicated that the ground BFBC ash with a specific surface of 475 m~2/kg(Blaine) was obtained under the condition of prolonging grinding time and adding some grinding aids. The pozzolanic activity of the ash attained the quality index of ground fly-ash(gradeⅡ).Based on the variation of compressive strength of normal ready-mixed concrete with the content of ground BFBC ash,the percentage replacement of cement with the ash was≤30%(equal substitution) or≤40%(superior).The compressive strength of high performance concrete incorporated with ground BFBC ash was greater to that with ground fly-ash (gradeⅡ) under the condition of the same replacement being 30%.Furthermore, added with 15%,30%and 50%ground BFBC ash,the quantities of chlorine anion mobility of concrete with the ratio of water to binder being 0.30 and the age of 60 days cured in standard condition were less than 1000 C,their carbonation depths through accelerated carbonation test were less than 10 mm and their grade of frost resistance was greater than F100.The results suggest that the ground BFBC ash can be applied to not only normal ready-mixed concrete but also high performance concrete.
