The paper elaborates the basic issues and methods of measuring ship radiated noise. Combined with a certain ship radiated noise measuring system, which is developed by the college of underwater acoustic engineering, the paper studies into the theory and methods about measuring ship radiated noise. The thesis mostly includes the theory of measuring sound pressure using sound vector hydrophones, the theory about sound flow counteracting, the plus of sound vector hydrophones and the data processing using combing sound pressure and particle velocity. The paper introduces ship radiated noise measuring system based on sound vector hydrophones, and emphasizes the influence of the underwater-portion to measuring ship radiated noise. The insert loss of diversion cover and the measured sensitivity of vector hydrophones are given as well.A set of signal post-processing software are developed and the data processing section is described in detail as a key part of the software, including the analysis of the original wave, the passing characteristics of the radiated noise of targets, the line spectra and the interference of the sound field, as well as the meaning and the setting methods of the parameters in this software. Then the ZFFT technology adopted in the data post processing software is analyzed. The experiment data in Songhua Lake and in Sanya are analyzed in the paper. According to the results of data processing, the paper shows the gain combining sound pressure and particle velocity. The paper bring forward the request about environmental sound noise field when using ship radiated noise measuring system, which based on sound vector hydrophones. The results show the capability of the measuring system is validated.
