Based on the acquisition of design and construction information of the self-anchored suspension bridge in domestic and foreign, guided by other bridge's design method, aided by the finite element analysis method, the mechanical properties and applicable scope of the PC slab stiffened self-anchored suspension bridge have been researched and discussed. The mainly studies to be as follows:(1) According to the related literature and the research results in domestic and foreign, the major influencing factor of the mechanical properties of self-anchored suspension bridge has been analyzed, each design variable in the reasonable scope and question considered in design is pointed out to take design basis of the PC slab stiffened self-anchored suspension bridge .(2) Directed against the existing suspension bridge and other bridge's analysis method, considering the unique feature in the construction stage and the operational phase of the PC slab stiffened self-anchored suspension bridge, the design method of the PC slab stiffened self-anchored suspension bridge has been determined.(3) According to the structure characteristic of the PC slab stiffened self-anchored suspension bridge, considering each nonlinear influencing factor, the suitable condition of each kind of finite element model has been compared and the finite element modeling method of the PC slab stiffened self-anchored suspension bridge has been proposed.(4) Guided by the design method and the finite element modeling method of the PC slab stiffened self-anchored suspension bridge, using the finite element analysis program SAP2000 to establish space finite element analysis model, through numerical analysis method, the mechanical properties of the PC slab stiffened self-anchored suspension bridge have been studied.
