Recently and in the near future, it is a historical opportunity for the developmentof Chinese building energy saving as well as the building insulation system. In thiscontext, the CS panel structure system will be greatly popularized in large area.The 22#building which will be built in the Mao Jia-yu village of JI County inTian Jin city will become a important sign for the practicality of CS panel structuresystem. But we still have to do extensive experiments and research to perfect allaspects of properties of this structural system and make this structural system, nomatter in the seismic design research or environmental and energy saving field, meetthe general requirements.In this paper,a three-story model with new connections of 1 /2.8 scale of CSpanel structure building based on the background of 22# building has been designedand made according to the similarity theory of the model and the dynamiccharacteristics such as frequency, model shape and damping are tested by using modalanalysis method.The dynamic characteristics such as frequency, model shape and damping arecalculated in the matrix iteration method and the outcome of calculation is modifiedaccording to the modified formula derived by the preliminary finite element analysis.The applicability of theoretical calculation on the CS panel structure system isexplored in accordance with the comparison between calculation and tested results.The comparison of a variety of properties is made between the two kinds ofsystem with new connections or not, especially in the dynamic characteristics field.Through comparing between the two kinds of model system in the field of dynamiccharacteristics, some constructive suggestions are given for the further developmentof CS panel structure system.
