With the large-scale development of marine engineering activities, the problemabout ice force on structure is more and more notable. In this paper, through the use ofANSYS software to establish a new conical structure and contact algorithm to havefinite element analysis on different conical structure,we try to find a new conicalstructure of the best.This paper first gave a summary about the current status of the interaction of ice andstructure and ice force on the conical structure,at the same time introduces two basicmodels of ice bending failure. This paper listed several calculational models of iceforce on conical structure,deduces the equation of the breaking length of drifting sheetice against conical surface of structure. Expounded the basic principles of finiteelement analysis and nonlinear contact analysis, and used the finite element softwareANSYS to establish a model about the interaction of ice and conical structure.Through the calculation of the mathematical model, simulated the process of theinteraction of ice and traditional conical structure,also the interaction of ice andconical structure with small cones,then compared the results of the two models,proved that the new conical structure is more conducive to an ice-breaking than thetraditional conical structure. Based on this,improved the model of new conicalstructure, analyzed and compared the ice-breaking performance of new conicalstructure with four,five,six or seven small cones,proved that when setting five smallcones on the surface of the traditional conical structure, the structure suffered minimalice force and was more conducive to an ice-breaking.Through mathematical model calculation and theoretical analysis, proved that theice-breaking performance of new conical structure is superior to the traditionalcone,had great significance to the design of actual engineering.
