With the rapid leap of national economy, the development of modern manufacturing technology speeds rapidly, automotive as an important component of the manufacturing systems progresses fast too. In recent years, Infrastructure investment of the state increases year by year, which make the production of trucks rise in explosive form. The demand of large tonnage, high-powered, high-efficiency heavy-duty trucks has been become the new hot spot in the domestic market. Therefore, "heavy commercial vehicle integrated development of advanced technology" is proposed as an important issue of advanced automotive technology of the Eleventh Five-Year key project of National 863 Plan.CAE analysis and simulation, the same with vehicle test, has important significance in R & D of the vehicle development process. But, the level of simulation technology in automobile industry of our state lags far behind compared with developed countries. In order to enhance the core competitiveness of state's auto industry, fostering and strengthening the capacity of independent development and innovation is needed eagerly. The advanced CAE technology must be mastered to realize the leaping development of china's auto manufacturing industry. The principle of parameterized dynamic model of the heavy-duty truck, both inside and outside, is analyzed in this paper. Characteristic parameters of each module assembly are extracted, vehicles and various sub-systems modeling process is described. Three-axis dynamic model of heavy-duty is developed combined with actual model CA1253P7K1L11T1 based on TruckSim, The handling stability of vehicle dynamic model is simulated and analyzed in accordance with the relevant test standard. Main content of this article is as follows:(1) Principles of dynamic modeling of the heavy-duty truck based on TruckSim.Vehicle dynamic simulation model of both practical and easy to comply is key technique in CAE simulation analysis, and the fidelity of sub-system model directly determines simulation precision of the vehicle dynamics model. Overall analysis of software including the modeling method, dynamic equation solving algorithm, specific steps of VS solver to solve are presented. The principle of parameterized dynamic model is analyzed in both inside and outside, and system models including body, load, aerodynamics, air braking system, steering system, tire system, solid axle suspension system, power train system modeling processes and dynamic equations are described based on some unique characteristics of heavy-duty truck. Finally, visualization of 3D virtual model including road surface geometry, variable surface friction coefficient, tire rolling resistance compared with surface characteristics, road surface and image surrounding environment is described, any arbitrary road environment can be generated easily by use of this road generator. Vehicle dynamics modeling is a very complex process, and requires a large amount of theoretical derivation, and a large number of tests need to be characteristics of the assembly fitting curve to achieve the simplification of the vehicle model.(2) The description of parameterized dynamic model of the heavy-duty truck.Characteristic parameters, which affect the vehicle dynamics, of each module assembly are extracted respectively based on mastering TruckSim modeling method, and the relationship between the system performance and the whole vehicle system. Characteristic parameters (curves) for aforesaid sub-systems modeling are described in details and assembly components are classified according to different functions. Taken heavy-duty truck CA1253P7K1L11T1 as an example, assembly parameters for parametric dynamic model are unified summary in tabular form and given detailed instructions.(3) Full vehicle dynamic modeling and simulation analysis of controllability and stability of the heavy-duty truck.Three-axis dynamic model of heavy-duty is developed based on TruckSim as well as CA1253 Series Truck 6×4 flat production of FAW liberation. Test methods including pylon course slalom test, steering wheel angle step input, steering wheel angle pulse input, return ability test, steering efforts test procedure, steady static circular test procedure are introduced based on controllability and stability test procedure for automobiles of china, commercial vehicle handling and stability test standard of state key laboratory of automobile dynamic simulation and ISO standards. Three-axis dynamic model of heavy-duty is analyzed handling and stability performance open, closed-loop simulation condition combined with GB and ISO standards. Heavy-duty truck model in fully loaded, fine road test carried out under a variety of simulation environment, comparisons of dynamic performance curves in different vehicle speed are obtained. Ideal following trajectory and driver model of closed-loop simulation tests are constructed. The simulation results show that: the integral performance of the heavy truck is above the medium level. Characteristic of power assistant steering system is the most prominent, not only ensure relative portable handing force, but also benign hand-feeling, however, transient response characteristics of dynamic model is poor by interference of external factors, and low-frequency resonance with high resonance peaks is appeared, the model has a weak anti-interference ability. In a word, vehicle dynamics simulation model can be suitable for standards in all test conditions, and can be used to forecast and analyze vehicle performance.Combining with "heavy commercial vehicle integrated development of advanced technology" of National 863 Plan, sub-systems modeling processes and dynamic equations are described based on some unique characteristics of heavy-duty truck, and characteristic parameters (curves) of each module assembly are extracted respectively. three-axis dynamic model of heavy-duty is developed based on CA1253 Series Truck 6×4flat production, and analyzed handling and stability performance open, closed-loop simulation condition combined with GB and ISO standards. Research of this topic can be used for further chassis matching and performance optimization, evaluation of vehicle performance, as well as lays the foundation for improving security, vehicle handling and stability.
