| With the human society has been developed to personal information,display technology increasingly takes an important position.As the representative of a new generation of display technology,liquid crystal display(LCD) has been rapidly developed,to build a personal media-driven modern information society.As the intermedium between CPU and LCD,the LCD driver chips whitch plays a key role in liquid crystal display,generate line and column signals to drive LCD module,according to the CPU instructions and data.The advantages and disadvantages of chip design directly affect on the display effect,performance and power consumption.Although the TFT-LCD display as the representative of high-end display equipment has been rapid development in recent years,the STN-LCD with its low-cost and low-power advantages in consumer electronics,such as the mobile communications equipment,still hold a considerable share of market.Base on STN LCD passive matrix theory,this thesis firstly analyses the matrix theory corresponding to electrode matrix,row driving algorithm and greyscale controlling algorithm. Then,3_wire MLA driving algorithm which includes matrix operation of 3 wire-MLA,the implementation of gray-scale and the calculation of driving voltage is proposed and analyzed. Secondly,after theory analysis,this thesis briefly described the overall structure of this chip based on 3 wire-MLA driving algorithm.Then most parts of this thesis focus on the design of display module.At last this thesis introduces the test bench.The simulation results show that the design met system requirements. |
