The main function of transport package is to guarantee the safety of the product during transportation process and make the product get to the destination safely.But transport package is suffering from drop,shock,vibration and so on inevitably during circulation process.And drop impact is the main cause of damage,so it is necessary to quest the damage state of transport package caused by drop impact.One of the method of questing the damage state of the transport package is using the product to do the experiment.But the experiment is usually destructive,and doing the experiment is expensive;moreover the experiment is uneasily controlled,and physical quantities which are measured are limited.And It is difficult to display the response and vibration deformation mechanism of the structure during the dropping process.One of effective way to solve this problem is using computer software to simulate analysis.To aim at above problems,the article did the dropping simulation analysis about WuXi littleswan company's washing machine's transport package case and made investigation about package product and package system structure's reliability during dropping impact.The article first introduces interrelated concepts,role and requirements about transport package,interrelated knowledge about ansys/ls-dyna and research contents,innovations,meaning and so on about the research project.Then the article makes preliminary dropping impact analysis about linearity pacakge case which has no damping in theory, and diffenential equations of motion and curves of shock response have been obtained. Nonlinearity package case's dropping impact also has been analysised briefly ,and the product's biggest displacement,parametric equation of the time-displacement curve and product's acceleration are acquired.The model of the washing machine's transport package case was set up using pro/e software .Through the specialized connector between pro/e and big commercial finite element software ansys/ls-dyna ,the entity model was leaded to ansys/ls-dyna and set parameter(element type,material property,contact type and so on ),then meshed the entity model to produce finite element model.The target dropping surface was set up using ansys/ls-dyna software.Then set parameter about the target dropping surface. The target dropping surface and finite element model of the washing machine's transport package case were assembled to generate dropping simulation finite element model.Set the different parts of the dropping simulation model and produce several components and parts. Set basic parameter which needed by dropping analysis(including acceleration of gravity ,dropping hight, initial velocity,dropping orientation and so on );set calculation option(analysis time ,calculation result output option and so on ) to make a solution about the program.Deal with the results after solution and obtain response of the package case,product,cushion pad and packing box,such as stress,strain response and so on,then compare response results of different dropping condition.Use intensity method and probablity method of prob design module of ansys to do reliability quest analysis about package product and cushion package's structure after dropping .Through reliability analysis, damage degree of product and package structure and specific factors which influence product and package structure's reliability have been obtained. There will be a great meaning for guiding the design and modifying of package's structure ,improving product quality and reducing transport costs.
