| Nowadays cyclotrons are widely used in fundamental researches in national defense and economic development. It will apparently reduce the cost and risks of the project by applying the VP (Virtual Prototyping) technique in the design and construct of the cyclotrons. Static analysis and contact calculations for the main magnet of the CYCIAE-100 were researched using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software COSMOSWorks in this dissertation. Based on these computations, the mechanical property was analyzed, and optimizations of some parts were considered.First of all, the frame and the load of the magnet are studied in details based on the research of the structural analysis. Then the analysis model, the forces and boundary conditions of the magnet are determined. The three dimensional parametric assembled model was built using SolidWorks. In this model, the contact sets, the friction coefficient and the bolt connectors were used to simulate the interaction among the parts. This greatly reduces the calculations and the manual processing. The design of the lip: the one-part lip and the two-part lip, are compared. And the deformation and strength of the magnet under different work conditions are analyzed. The connection of the pole and lip uses a wing-shape structure. The influence of the shape and bolts of the wing on the whole stiffness and strength of the magnet is analyzed, which will bring forward some optimization. |
