As the requirements on monitoring, controlling and protecting in Power System increasing, conventional inductive current transformers and potential transformers have several disadvantages at extra-high voltage, and particularly ultra-high voltage grades. High voltage electronic transducers replacing conventional transformers will be the certain developing tendency. With the development of Photoelectric and Optical Fiber Communication, many optical fiber measuring and protective devices, such as optical fiber current transformers and optical fiber voltage transformer, have been applied widely.As important equipment of relay protection and electric energy measure in power system industry, power transformers play a primary role for working well and calculating precisely in power supplying system. Safe, reliable and economical operation of power system is closely related with precision and dependability of power transformers. The optical fiber transformers are the new-type optical and electronic power transformers which incorporate electronic technology and optical technology into an organic whole, its characteristics, such as high accuracy, high dependability, wide bandwidth, etc. have already become the substitute of the traditional electromagnetic power transformer in power industry gradually.At present, most of the testing systems for the optical fiber transformers are all based on site testing. The old testing technology of transformers has not satisfied with the performance test of the optical fiber transformers. In order to securing the property of the optical fiber transformers, it is necessary to developing a special testing system which is also a delivery testing system for the optical fiber transformers. In addition, with the utilization of the parabola interpolation methods and the Blackman-Harris windows functions, the two signals which are in the testing system have been synchronized and the precision of this system has improved well.On the reference of a great deal of documents and investigation, the whole scheme design of the optical fiber transformers are finished. According to the output characteristics of the new-type power transformers (analog signals and digital signals), the theory and method of testing technology for the optical fiber transformers are discussed in this thesis based on the standard of IEC60044-7/8. The virtual instrument technology is introduced, and the testing system of the optical fiber transformers is constructed. The test results of ratio error, phase error and harmonic error are given and analyzed.
