With the development of the technology of Substation Automation System,the conventional meterage and protection equipments in substation will be replaced by the digital Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs) which have the function of intelligent communication and provide a base for building the Digital Substation.Especially after the IEC 61850 had been constituted by IEC,the Seamless communication in Digital Substation have more support in theory.In contrast with the people inland have the concern of the device modeling,application service mapping and Extended Make Up Language,there are few researchs of the communication beween bay level and process level in substation.On the basis of in-depth analysis of IEC 61850 and Seamless Communication in Digital Substation,The dissertation at first describe the communication models of the Digital Subustation based on IEC 61850 and the integration of IEDs in Digital Substation.Secondly there is an analysis of indices of network performance evaluation and data stream between the bay level and process level ,and it's based on the generic indices of network performance evaluation.Moreover, the requirement of the performance of message and four alternative solutions of the process level communication bus are proposed.Thirdly the elements,functions,performance and indices of the Opto-Electronic Current Transformer (OCT) and Merging Unit (MU) are introduced.And on the basis of researches of the Ethernet Bus and IEC 61850,the method to build a VLAN and transmit the Sample Value (SV) and GOOSE message are proposed.The dissertation also proposes a scheme of network experiment for analyzing the performance of the network. The emphasis of the scheme based on IEEE 802.1q is to configurate the VLAN on the switch and define the send or receive buffer of the IED and initialize the NIC.At last,the transmission delay and the results of the network test between the bay level and process level are analysed.
