High-Voltage Pulse Generator is a key application of plasma technology equipment. The overall efficiency of energy conversion and power capacity is a major factor affecting the industrial application of plasma technology. In this article, the design of High-Voltage Pulse Generator will be divided into High-Voltage DC charger, energy storage module and the pulse shaping circuit , and we will focuses on the design of HVDC charger.This article first present that the HVDC charger useing a modular design scheme: 50Hz rectifier and filter and pre-regulated circuit and High-voltage circuit. Contrapose that the characteristics of Pre-Regulator Circuit and High-voltage circuit are DC/DC converters, analyse full-bridge DC/DC converter circuit topology and control strategies that generally used in the occasion of High-Power. Then, combine with the Phase-Shift Full-Bridge PWM Soft-Switching technology introduce Zero-Voltage and Zero-Current-Switching Full Bridge PWM Converter Using Transformer Auxiliary Winding circuit topology in Pre-regulator circuit. Make detailed analysis of the principle of Pre- regulator circuit use this topology frame. By analyzing the conditions of leading leg achieve Zero-Voltage Switching and lagging leg achieve Zero-Current Switching and the design requirements in connection with the project, design the parameters of the circuit. In addition, present a digital control methods based on DSP. In the design of High-Voltage circuit, this paper presents the design of the voltage doubling rectifier circuit and High-Frequency High-Voltage transformer. And then preliminary explore the use of Full-Bridge Phase-Shift ZVZCS Soft-Switching in High-Voltage circuit. Finally, the actual circuit experiments showed that in the Full-Bridge Phase-Shift ZVZCS Soft-Switching circuit, leading leg easy to achieve Zero-Voltage Switching and lagging leg can be made to achieve Zero-Current Switching in allover power scope by reasonably designed the parameters of the resonator component.
