As an economical and flexible tool, the compact cyclotron is not only widely used in fundamental science such as nuclear and solid-state physics research, but also widely employed in PET system, proton therapy, isotopes production.The main magnet is one of the most important components in compact cyclotrons. The magnetic filed must satisfy the isochronous condition and transversal focusing during the acceleration of beam particles. Besides, the main magnet should cooperate with other components for the global optimization.The thesis introduces the preliminary design method of the main magnet, presents the numerical calculation method based on ANSYS software. The optimization process of the main magnet is also studied.By employing the three dimensional simulation and beam dynamics analysis on the main magnet of CYCIAE100, the design proposal is validated. Also, this thesis introduces the magnet shimming process on the 10 MeV compact cyclotron in CIAE.
