Recently the problem about the passive safety and the safety in collision has generally caught people's attention. In order to reduce the ratio of casualty in road accidents, every country in the world has successively mapped out relevant automotive passive safety rule. Nowadays with the gradual growth of the commercial vehicle's output and distribution, and with the fact that our country is one of the highest ratio of road accidents countries and the first number in the casualty ratio, this paper has aimed at one commercial vehicle and lucubrated to the vehicle crash performance by using the finite-element numerical simulation.According to the commercial vehicle's structure features, the evaluation index of the commercial vehicle's body crash performance has been discussed in this paper; and the general process of the numerical simulation of the commercial vehicle's crash performance and the general process of the numerical simulation of the commercial vehicle's crash performance and the main step of the finite-element analysis by using the Hyper Works soft and the general process of the commercial vehicle's finite-element modeling have been summed up, moreover, according to the factual situation and the country's criterion, rational and effective whole vehicle finite-element model and crash model have been set up; The finite-element analysis to the stiffness (bending stiffness and torsional stiffness ) of the commercial vehicle's body-in-white has primarily been made in this paper, and the computer numerical simulation analysis of the commercial vehicle 100% front impact, 40% offset frontal impact and rear impact by using the large-scale universal nonlinear finite-element analysis soft LS-DYNA according to the country criteria has been carried through.According to the comparisons between many simulation analysis results and experimental results, in this paper the whole energy change and main parts' structure distortion situation during the crash process of commercial vehicle have been analyzed, and the problem of the whole structure has been found, and relevant amelioration opinion has been brought forward. These have important and actual meanings on the improvement of the commercial vehicle's design quality and the safety of the passenger and the decreasing of the casualty in road accidents and the improvement of the automotive passive safety.
