Mini vehicle is one kind of low cost, low fuel consumption, low pollution, low investment, quick return and economical car. In recent years, it has become one of the fastest growing industry in China. Clutch is an important vehicle to ensure car starting smoothly, shifting smoothly and manipulating lightly. Mini vehicle clutch's friction material is the main factor impacting on clutch's frictional properties, which has a direct response to the Pairs' friction coefficient and wear quantity. Resin-based composite materials with high friction coefficient, has become the main friction materials of mini vehicle clutch, however its properties will decline using in the high temperature environment, leading to lower friction coefficient and higher wear loss, seriously reducing clutch's life and vehicle drive system's stability. Therefore, according to tribology theory and friction test, analyzing mini vehicle clutch's friction properties and wear mechanism is the main task of this dissertation.The dissertation includes three important parts. The first emphasis of dissertation is friction and wear test performance test, the second is friction and wear performance analysis, the third is wear mechanism research.First of all, the paper analyzes mini vehicle and its dry friction clutch's present situations, and gives the goal of this paper and the main content of the paper.Secondly, the paper introduces mini car clutch's structure and friction materials, analyzes the main forms of wear and the influenced factors of wear, combines with the main theories of dry friction and mini vehicle clutch's failure statistics, gives the main ideas how to research mini vehicle clutch's friction and wear.Then, I do friction test and measure friction coefficient and wear loss, analyzes test data, compares three clutch's friction and wear properties, selects the most appropriate clutch to mini vehicle.Finally, the paper combines front theoretical and test data, observes friction surface topography and elements, analyzes mini vehicle clutch's friction properties and wear mechanism.This paper researches resin-based composite friction materials' friction properties and wear mechanism from the practical application of mini vehicle clutch, provides an important theoretical guidance and practice standard about enhancing clutch's anti-wear performance, and reducing slippage, incomplete separation, start shivering and other troubles, which is an important research and has practical significance.
