A new patching material JC was used to repair surface cracks in airport cement concrete pavement. In this article, the actual stress conditions, features of crack and repairing material performance were analysized based on the current research results of cracks. The performance of airport concrete after repairing was evaluated by comparing the repairing material with an imported new repair material RW, epoxy resin (EP) and polymer modified cement (PAE).In this paper, the mechanical properties including impact resistance, and durability of JC, epoxy resin (EP), RW and polymer modified cement (PAE) used as repair material for airport pavement concrete cracks were investigated. The finite element analysis was used to determine the mechanical responses of airport pavement concrete cracks before and after repair, too. As a subtopic of the project of National Natural Science Foundation, the research work was supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (60672166). The major contents are mainly summarized as follows:1. The mechanical properties of the four repairing materials when used to repaire cracks were studied and the results showed that except the polymer (PAE) modified cement, the mechanical properties of specimens repaired with the other three material is not lower than 80% of concrete specimen without cracks, and the JC is better;2. The resistances to chloride ion difussion and the sulfate attack after repairing were studied. The flexural or compressive strength losses of specimens were determined after sodium chloride and sodium sulfate solution immergence. It was indicated that JC was not as good as RW, but better than EP and PAE;3. ANSYS was used to analyze the mechanical property response of airport surface concrete crack before and after repairing.
