Spherical reticulated shell is one of the typical forms of the spatial structures. It has been widely applied because of its economy,reasonable carrying capacity,beautiful shape and large span, and was developed very quickly in the recent ten years. In this paper,FEM is adopted to analyze the static and dynamic behavior of single layer spherical reticulated shell with the large depth-to-span ratio openings. Parameter analysis on different location and size of openings affecting reticulated shell load is carried out,based on the case study. The following content are mainly considered:1.The static behaviors of single layer spherical reticulated shell with the large depth-to-span ratio openings were conducted. Parameter analysis of different location and size of openings affecting reticulated shell static load is considered. Loading capability is compared under the different static load conditions.2.The stability behaviors of ingle layer spherical reticulated shell with the large depth-to-span ratio openings were discussed. The parameters different location and size of openings affecting reticulated shell static stability load is analyzed. The critical load is obtained by the spatial beam elements and the arc-length scheme,as well as to compared with the different initial geometric imperfection.3.The vibration natural frequency of single layer spherical reticulated shell with the large depth-to-span ratio openings is analyzed. Modal frequencies and modal participating rule is obtained. Parameter analysis of different location and size of openings affecting reticulated shell disengaged vibration is done.4.Seismic response analysis is done by using spectrum analysis method and time history analysis method for single layer spherical reticulated shell. The displacement and the axial forces of the structure under the seismic response are obtained and the results are compared.The design and analysis method of the spherical reticulated shell with the large depth-to-span ratio openings,suggested in this paper,offers useful references to the similar structures.
