Induction heating power that heats workpiese by whirling current has been used widely in industrial areas. In traditional method which uses analog control circuit, some disadvantages such as difficult debugging and aging component, are unavoidable. With the development of the technology of chip, people gradually dedicate to develop the digital design of induction heating power based on the chips,which has a lot of advantages such as agility to design, convenient to amend and easy to realize.Traditional voltage-current double closed loop adjustment satisfies the induction heating power supply to a certain extent, but its limiting pressure or electric current can create the phenomenon that the output is smaller than the rated power. This paper uses a new three-tier regulatory program (voltage-current double Loop with inverter angle adjustment) to enable the power supply have a constant power output, which will reduce heat loss, improve yield and power efficiency in the actual production. In order to complete the digital control of induction heating power with TMS32F0240 DSP, the hardware and software are designed in this paper. And the technology of soft-switching is also discussed through the emulation in PSpice, which will, in the long run, make the prepares for the digital design of high-power induction heating power.The slab finite element method (FEM) model is built on the basis of electromagnetic and thermal field FEM analysis. With the flow of coupling calculation using universal FEM software ANSYS, the practical induction-heating quenching process is simulated. Considering parameters along with temperature changing, the calculation results are validated and analyzed by many aspects such as temperature and power. The results show that the computer simulation has the instruction significance to the actual project. Furthermore, these provide the references for digital design of induction heating power.
