Developing And Applicating Of The Motor Soft Starting Controller

The AC motor with good function and needless the maintenance of characteristics, get the extensive application in the every trade . For being going to produce upper current and stress when it start ,the motor lowers service life of the loaded equipments.The current of an AC motor is above the ordinary level when it is directly started, which causes series of problems. To solve these problems, the soft starting of the motor is brought forward.This paper takes a study for the theories in hardware and software processing of the motor soft starting, Applicate the SMC plus soft starting, AB company of U.S , develop WJR,the soft starting controller. In addtion to, the core of hardware is 80C196MC SMC in the series of 8096, Intel company design the function to protect circuit in any way with software. And this paper clearly explain the design of the circuitry of synchronous pulse, signaling of SCR voltage loss. ignition pulse, data access and convert (DAC), keyboard and display and the flow chart of software.In this paper, the design utilizes the coorperative relationship between control angle and power factor angle. And base on it, it designs the control serategy of control angle which has two parts. Besides, the paper shows the voltage curve, current curve and speed curve of starting when using soft starting controller. The conclusion of experiment proves that soft starting controller decrease the starting current.
