With modern industrial development, the subject of noise control has attracted people's attention and concern. Active Noise Control (ANC) is a relative new technique in the field of noise control and has been developed rapidly inrecent years. With the development of electronic technique, adaptive filter technique has been used in ANC and formed Adaptive Active Noise Control (AANC). AANC is very effective on reducing low frequency, and AANC has the less bulk, lighter weight than the passive reduction noise measures. This dissertation which was according as the theory of active noise control analyzed the configurations and the theories of feedforward control system first. The single and multichannel FXLMS algorithm are deduced and concluded respectively, so were the calculation steps of inductive algorithm. Paper also makes statistics on the calculation amount of multichannel FXLMS algorithm and discusses the influence of system parameters, for instant, the filter length and number of channels on the calculation amount. By setting up simulation models, the factors which influence convergence, stability and noise reduction performance are analyzed. The paper gives two fast algorithms based on weighting coefficient: periodic partial update FXLMS algorithm and sequential partial update FXLMS algorithm into analyze. The calculation amount and noise reduction performance of the two algorithms were compared with simulation.Last, a two-channel adaptive active noise controller is designed by using TMS320C5509A DSP, and an AANC was built for experimental research. Controller including hardware and software design was applied to build the AANC. Experiment shows that the controller can achieve the design requirements, and the system reprensents a good noise reduction performance.
