Research And Design On Digital Phase Meter

Recently,the research of phase measurement technique has become more important and developed in many fields,many measurement algorithms have been presented in domestic and foreign research, and the technique of digital signal processing(DSP) could be applied in high preceied measurement of the signal parameter.it's possible to implement some complex measurement algorithms.DSP and CPLD is the hardware core of the system in the paper. With the measurement algorithm scheme,the whole of digital phase measurement system has been designed and implemented,in which the measure precision of phase and frequency parameters is improved.Some pivotal phase measurement algorithms have been researched in the paper, with simulating and analyzing the property of the methods in Matlab,the measurement algorithm scheme is presented:Fistly,use Linearity algorithm to measure frequency approximately.Secondly,use Adaptive Notch Filter algorithm to measure frequency in high precision.Finally,use The Least Square algorithm to measure phase.In designing the system hardware design,the main work is designing and debugging analog signal circuit,digital signal processing module,DSP inerface circuit, system's power supply circuit and so on;In the system software design, the main work is compiling CPLD logical code,debugging and implementing the measurement algorithms with DSP software,designing the display/control sofeware based on master computer.Finally,in order to test the capability of the measurement system in practice,design the test pattern which is based on FPGA,and is used to produce sine signal.From a number of experiments,the measured precision of the system is high and changeless, and the system could be used in the project measurement.In addition,in order to fulfil the requirement of some projects,there are some additional functions: measuring frequency in high precision,measuring frequency and phase of the four-channel signals,measuring frequency and phase of the un-continuous signal(such as CW pusle signal), some common meter isn't provided with these functions.
