The successful application of Steering-By-Wire needs a mass of tests by vehicle. And tests by vehicle will cost a lot of material resources,human resources,financial resources. If we do some necessary test-bed tests before applying in vehicle, we will get some basic parameters and arithmetic. So it is very significant to do a systemic study of the test-bed test of SBW.(1) On the base of research the development of the SBW, make a detailed statement on the structure of the system,characteristic of performance,current development; and bring forward the purpose of designing test-bed tests, significance and state of study; and finally define the technical route.(2) Make a design of SBW's test-bed. Build a dynamics model of SBW system. Expound the principle and basic function test-bed of SBW. Analyze the selecting method of hardware contains the steering gear,shaft coupling, electromotor and every kind of sensors.(3) The electric control unit of the simple SBW test-bad is designed based on the HongJing technology company's STC12C5410AD chip. External circuit of ECU and electromotor drive circuit are designed.(4) On the base of hardware designing, the ECU's software program is designed, including the designing of the main program ,the AD signal conversion program, PWM program and serial port communication program.(5) The human-computer interaction is designed by using the serial port communication's MSComm of Visual C++6.0. It can input the signals, which have been used AD signal conversion to the human-machine interface. So it's easy for us to control the parameters of the system.
