Under the conditions of security, how to improve the design accuracy to meet requirements of the reliability and economical efficiency of the building, has becoming the engineer'priority and the research objectives and direction of the ram-compaction piles with composite bearing base. To study the bearing capacity and the settlement of the ram-compaction piles with composite bearing base, this paper expresses the following aspects:1.Summary and Analysis the existing theory and the design and calculation method of the ram-compaction piles with composite bearing base.2.Work with the teaching building of Shan dong Normal University, and through the field static test, the interaction between the pile and soil, the reinforcement mechanism, the damage pattern and engineering properties have been studied. According to the comparative analysis of the field test data and various calculation method, the selection of design parameters has been discussed, and the bearing capacity theory of the ram-compaction piles with composite bearing base has been improved.3.Potential problems of the ram-compaction piles with composite bearing base has been analysis, and possible preventive measures have been made. During the construction of the ram-compaction piles with composite bearing base, to avoid the phenomenon of reducing and breaking of piles, we must control the speed of tube drawing.4.After the using of the ram-compaction piles with composite bearing base to the teaching building of Shan dong Normal University, the pile was detected, inspection data indicate that all piles can meet the quality requirements, there also no affection to the surrounding environment. the geological conditions of ground could also meet the quality requirements.5.Through the examples of projects, and comparing with other foundation treatment, The results showed that, the ram-compaction piles with composite bearing base has obvious economic effects and good prospect.
