With the revitalization of the western region to further step up the pace, the economy has been a major development in the hinterland of Tianjin. Tianjin for the development provided a good opportunity for building Tianjin into a shipping hub in North conditions. In the development of the economy of Tianjin, Tianjin railway container transport rail intermodal plays its irreplaceable role.This paper details the origin of the development of container transport,with the container transport features. Give an analysis of the advantages of container intermodal transportation, and it is the important conditions to the rapid development of container intermodal. This paper details the development of railway containers, meanwhile, an analysis of the development process of China railway container. The article also made a brief presentation on business process of China railway container intermodal. It analyzes the Tianjin container intermodal environment for the development, including internal and external facilities, and also the laws, regulations and policy environment of national or local rail container intermodal transport, and in this paper we made a simple prospect of Tianjin railway container, and a scientific judgment of its development direction. Qualitative analysis and quantitative forecast has done to railway container intermodal volume though gray prediction theory predicted.Finally, this article details scientific recommendations on how to develop the Tianjin railway intermodal containers.
