The main effect factors of oscillating-flow heat pipe(OFHP) are studied in this paper.Heat transfer experiments of OFHP in different operation factors and structure factors are investigated and consequent results and rules are gained,as well as the reason of those results and rules are analyzed.For studying OFHP better and more scientific, some important notices in manufacture are summarized and technical requirement of manufacture are raised.As to the application of OFHP,it's the first time for bringing out the new idea that applying OFHP in the glass-metal evacuated solar energy collector tubes.Column type OFHPs,which the size is longer(1.5m long) and matches the evacuated tube,and flat plate type(1.5m long) OFHP are tested by electric power for heating evaporator section.Feasibility of OFHPs applied in glass-metal evacuated solar energy collector tubes is investigated.Experiment results show that if the OFHP replace the conventional heat pipe applied in the glass-metal evacuated solar energy collector tubes,it will work better than the condition of these experiments,and will be better than the conventional heat pipe especially.
