The medium speed mill is the main equipment of the pulverizing system of coal-fired utility,and the grinding roll of it is the easily-tom parts.How to increase the service life of the grinding roll which has been related to safe operation of coal-fired utility has received high attention.Therefore,in this paper,an analysis and research on wear characteristics and wear process of grinding roll has been carried out using simulation technology.In this paper,the whole structure and working principle of MPS-190 type mill were first introduced.Some influencing factors of grinding roll wear process were discussed systemically.Based on the MPS-190 type mill,having developed a mathematical model of grinding roll wear process and then some unknown parameters in the mathematical model have been determined using the MATLAB curve fitting toolbox.Based on the SIMULINK platform of MATLAB software,the processes of grinding roll wearing were simulated successfully.By analyzing the simulation results,the influences of the grinding roll hardness and abrasive wear coefficient on wearing have been disclosed.Comparing with the theoretical analysis,the feasibility of the numerical simulation was validated.Meanwhile,technical methods of simulating the grinding roll wear process of medium speed mill have been tentatively proposed.
