The UMEC transformer model and dq0 induction motor model in PSCAD/EMTDC are used and the transformer-induction motor system model is built to analyze the losses of the system, considering the nonlinear characteristic of transformer and induction motor in the thesis. The test system is also built by the 15kVA transformer and 2.2kW squirrel cage induction motor. The correlative simulation and experiment are performed in over-voltage and different load ratios of the induction motor. The hysteresis, eddy current and the copper losses of fundamental and harmonic wave of primary and secondary windings are obtained by simulated and tested main flux and fundamental and harmonic waves of current of the primary and secondary windings when the voltage and the ratio of the induction motor are changed. The results of simulation and experiment are compared, and the laws of losses with the voltage and load ratio changing are showed. The reliability of simulation is validated by experiment. Some other ways of calculation and test are also researched.
