As to vehicle steering system,it's hard to obtain the "swiftness" and "finesse" at the same time.In order to solve this problem,a variable transmission ratio steering system has been designed by researchers, which to some degree helps relieve the conflict.The development of Hydraulic Power Steering System(HPS) greatly solves the problem mentioned above,yet it has many disadvantages as well.A Electric Hydraulic Power Steering System(EHPS) is basically developed from Hydraulic Power Steering System,they both generally work with similar principle.Differently,EHPS frees the pump from vehicle engine,instead,it uses a separate motor to drive the pump so as to provide the necessary steering power.Furthermore,it brings in a core part——ECU.EHPS could not only reduce fuel consumption,but provide variable steering power as well.With the technical development of EHPS,more and more EHPS are equipped on vehicles,and may completely replace the traditional HPS in future years.On this paper,the author first mainly introduce the history of power steering systems in the first chapter.In the second chapter,the author introduce the operating principle of the brushless direct current motor that is equipped on the EHPS system.Following the second chapter,the author gives method of designing a ECU part by part and introduces a special sensor which is used to calculate the palstance of the steering wheel.Besides,the author discusses some basic principles of designing a PCB board.In the fourth chapter the author gives the tactics of motor control with some parts of the intact procedure.In the last part of this paper,the author provides some test results using the ECU the author designs.In the last part of this paper,the author jumps to a conclusion of what this paper mainly deals with and the preview of future designs. |
