Since the appearance of the Basalt Fiber Reinforced Concrete,a lot of scholars have studied on it.The study results showed that the basalt fiber reinforced concrete had excellent dynamic performance, fracture properties,Impact toughness as well as Anti-abrasion properties. In this paper, many comparative experimental study have done between Original Concrete and Basalt Fiber Reinforced Concrete, based on previous research results. The research object is focused on the durability of concrete targets such as impermeability,freeze-thaw resistance,dry-shrinkage and anti-chloride ion penetration, and compare with the indicators of layered steel fiber reinforced concrete and layered hybrid fiber reinforced concrete.Main research work and important results are as follows:1,The impermeability of BFRC is superior to the OC,and improved after the incorporation of fly ash.The water seepage height of BFRC is 21.1%lower than OC and 34.6%lower after the incorporation of fly ash.2,The freeze-thaw resistance of BFRC is superior to the OC.The freeze-thaw durability test indicates that relative dynamic modulus of elasticity of BFRC and OC have nearly identical falling trend in the initial freeze-thaw phase, while the falling trend of BFRC is slower than that of OC in the freeze-thaw damage propagation phase. The relative dynamic modulus of elasticity of BFRC is 71.55%after 100 freeze-thaw,and the relative dynamic elastic modulus of OC has been reduced to 48.58%,But the effect is the worst after the incorporation of fly ash,is only 34.24%.3,The dry-shrinkage of BFRC is superior to the OC,the dry-shrinkage ratio of BFRC in the all age was significantly lower than the OC,and in the age of 180 days, the dry-shrinkage ratio of BFRC is 0.021%lower than OC,namely relatively 26.8%; And the dry-shrinkage ratio is the lowest after the incorporation of fly ash. While, the water loss rate is the opposite to dry-shrinkage ratio.4,The anti-chloride ion penetration of BFRC is superior to the OC,the total electric flux of BFRC is 980C in the study, and 442C lower than OC.The anti-chloride ion penetration of BFRC is better after the incorporation of fly ash.5,The durability of Basalt fiber reinforced concrete and layered hybrid fiber reinforced concrete is similar, but better than layered steel fiber reinforced concrete. In addition, this paper analyzes the enhancement mechanism of BFRC,the main reason is that the incorporation of basalt fiber improves the concrete structure, reduces the formation of voids within the concrete, enhances the capacity of its impermeability.
