Along with Chinese economy development and the standard of people's living improvement,auto possession quantity has been rising continuously as the same as road traffic volume,however,because of the uneven makings of drivers and the high proportion of mixed traffic mode with incomplete management which has existed in our country,as a result,the traffic accident rate increases constantly.The pedestrian impacted by vehicle accounts high rate in our country traffie accident,about 27% with high death rate.In these accidents,the proporion of head injur,neck injury and crura injury accounts 70%of the sum injury.The head and neck damage is the main reason tha cause pesronnel's death and crura injury usually cause deformity.The expert predicts that Chinese road traffic accident death rate will wander up and down in such high position during the following ten years.This character determines to have very important meanings to launeh pedestrian's security research work in our country.In order to protect pedestrians,people must carry on the careful investigation and the science analysis to the traffic accident.Based on computer simulation of the vehicle-human collision reconstruction with low cost,high accuracy,objectivity and the advantages of rich contents,it can provide scientific basis for the accident identification,the auto safety design and the research of damage biology mechanics. So this virtual test technology has important reserach value and social significance.In this study,vehicle-pedestrian crash models are built by MADYMO which is used widely in the field of vehicle safety research.As this research indicates,different crash effects would be brought to pedestrian's body,following with varieties of factors such as vehicle types,crash speeds,statures and body forms of pedestrian.It's well known that airbag is the effective equipment to protect people in traffic accidents.in this paper,a hood airbag has been designed by CAD/CAE.The steps mainly include airbag size and simulation modeling.By using t a pedestrian airbag, the influence of airbag protection to the pedestrian injury was analyzed.The result shows that hood airbags is quite effective for pedestrian head.finally,the parameters of hood airbag like size\initial pressure\airbag outlet character are inspected.This study is a usefulexploration of research on pedestrian security in our country.The methods and conclusions of this study are provided with important significance on providing reference for vehicle-pedestrian crash accident reconstruction,research on pedestrian injury especially head injury protection,and legislation of pedestrian protection.
