Pedestrian protection is one of the important parts in the research field of automotive passive safety, accident reconstruction study based on in-depth investigation can provide valuable basic data for pedestrian protection. With the rapid development of China’s automobile industry and transportation industry, car ownership has increased dramatically,safety problem are getting more and more attention of people. In the traffic accident, the car outside personnel such as pedestrians and cyclists are more likely to be hurt.Pedestrians and cars in the process of collision, head and lower limbs are the most vulnerable part. Head and neck injury is the main cause of death, and lower extremity trauma is the main factor that researchers disabled in an accident. Adult head mainly in traffic accident contact with hood and front windshield. So the study on pedestrian head protection in traffic accident has important practical significance in China.This article combines accident investigation analysis with research method of computer rendering. Actual cases of cars and pedestrians in Shanghai songjiang area are as the research object, carrying out the following research work:(1)This article expounds the songjiang district cars and pedestrians collision depth of investigation of the basic processes and methods. According to the modeling and reconstruction method above, 20 typical car to pedestrian side collision accidents in NAIS Songjiang database were reconstructed. In this article, the model of collision velocity and throwing distance(the first and the lateral, vertical, and the total distance) of the vehicle is established.(2)This paper analyzes the relationship between collision velocity and pedestrian head impact parameters(WAD, head impact velocity, head impact angle, head impact time). In this paper, we study response of collision speed of pedestrian head injury criterion(HIC value, the biggest head linear acceleration, head of the angular acceleration value),and get the value of curve fitting.(3)According to the actual typical case for using PC- Crash software simulation analysis of the regularity of cars and pedestrian Crash simulation, this article has completed head model and engine cover plate collision simulation analysis, obtained valuable simulation curve, the structure of engine cover plate and the corresponding optimization in the finite element analysis software.
