Research On Visualization Of Ship Fire And Water Column Of Fire Branch

Ship fire has its own features.It can easily cause serious human injuries and huge property loss,which endangers shipping industry development.Consequently,safety engineering of ship fire must be strengthened.Visual system of marine simulator is virtual simulation for sea environment.It offers the user the visual scene in training mission.In this paper,supported by visual system of marine simulator,ship fire basic theory and key technology are researched and visualization of ship fire and water column of fire branch is realized successfully.The main work can be summarized as follows:1.Research on ship fire spread model.The greatest difficulty of ship fire simulation is to choose a suitable fire spread model that is accurate as well as can be dealt with within computer processing power.In this paper,field model,zone model and net model are discussed and a new model,field-zone-net model,is propesed to simulate fire spreading process.2.Particle system is applied to realize visualization of ship fire and water column of fire branch.Particle system is an existing effective way to simulate polytrophic and irregular objects.In this paper,visualization of ship fire and water column of fire branch is realized by properly setting particle position,number,speed and other concerned attributes.3.The bounding box is applied to operate collision detection.The process of fire-extinguishing is simulated.In this paper,the main work is not only useful to explore the theory of ship fire,but also lays a certain foundation to establish a training system of ship fire simulation in the next step.
