In recent years, elevator services become a must in higher buildings, so,one elevator couldn't satisfy all needs of passengers in most of the cases. In order to cut down the waiting time,reduce power consumption, it is better to put many elevators together and monitor them together in reason. This optimization dispatching system to all the elevators is named elevator group control systems (EGCS).The random city of the transportation and many characters of the EGCS, such as many-targets, the uncertainty, the no linearity, the disarrangement and short of maturity in information, make us very difficult to control the elevators, so it is very difficult for us to establish an accurate model of controlled object, and we cannot control the elevators perfectly with traditional technique. Fuzzy control technique has great advantages in resolving the no linearity, indetermination problems. It does not need to establish an accurate model for the problem solved, but it imitate the logical reasoning of person's brain, and can simplify many complicated problems. As a result, the fuzzy control technique was applied to EGCS, and the research was made on these key problems including, identifying the passenger's transportation pattern and the algorithm of elevator group controls, which will make a positive drive on the study and application of the EGCS in our country.The paper introduced the running character of fuzzy EGCS and the domestic and overseas study actuality briefly. The paper also analyzes the necessity and the feasibility of applying the fuzzy control technique to the EGCS, including the identification of the transportation pattern and the algorithms of the elevator group control that are simulated in the paper. The paper analyzes the traffic variableness described traffic characters, and then the traffic componemts and the traffic intensity are regarded as the input variableness of fuzzy reasoning. The fuzzy reasoning rules identifying twelve traffic patterns was summarized. The paper analyzes detailed traditional dispatching algorithm that is short of the veracity and the maturity etc, then a more reasonable new evaluation function is built up. The weight average of the most important four evaluation targets, including the low average waiting time, the low long-time waiting percent, the low riding-power consume, the low average riding time act as the evaluation function. The paper makes a detailed study on realizing the fuzzy reasing of these four control targets, including the choice of new input varieties, the input varieties calculation, the choice of membership functions, and the fuzzy rules table etc. Finally, a simulator model of transportation based on Poisson distributing is established, also the dispatching algorithm of the fuzzy elevator group control syetem is simulated in the text with the matlab method, which is Object Oriented Designed, The simulation result of the fuzzy elevator group control system shows evident decrease on the average waiting time, the long-time waiting percent, the riding-power consume, the average riding time compared to traditional centralizing-select control system.
