The dissertation investigates into Mr.Hong Qing's architectural practice.During 1950 to 1976 years.Mr.Hong Qing had architectural practice at Xi'an from 1950 when he moved Xi'an from Shanghai to 1976.This period a total of 26 years.Due to the upheaval of the native situation and architectural designing environment.His course of architectural practice can be divided into four phases:the earlier,the period of research on native architectural form,the peak,the End the practice of architecture.The first chapter is preface,the second chapter detailed statement the growth of Hong Qing,studying experience and the early practice of architecture in Shanghai,as well as the reasons for migration of Xi'an.Which open the prelude for designed career in Xi'an.The third chapter to the sixth chapter respectively study from the aspects like the social background of architectural practice,his personal experience,analysis of typical projects,classification of projects'category from 1950 to 1976.Based on the previous all chapters,the seventh chapter analyzes the viewpoint of Hong Qing's architectural practice,first,the paper review Hong Qing's Architectural ideas,Second, his choice to the future in opportunities,third,his works are very harmonious of.the Xi'an's space and architectural scale,fotirthly the paper has compare his architectural concept and project with contemporary architects's.Finally,emphasized the historical status of Hong Qing's works in Xi'an.To sum up,the paper points out the viewpoint of Hong Qing's architectural practice bring some good enlightenment to the practice of the contemporary young architects,meanwhile its provide some information and date for history of Xi'an Modern Architecture.
