In the process of mechanical product manufacturing, it is impossible to mark mechanical parts. In Machinery Industry area, besides the graceful appearance, the marking celerity and depth of the marks on parts is required. To meet the need of modern produce, pneumatic marking system becomes a kind of better choice. According to differences of controlling ways, pneumatic marking systems are devided some types. Some are controlled by computers. Some are controlled by single-chip microcomputer. Others are controlled by host computer and lower machine. In order to adapt to mark on some work pieces which are large or move inconveniently and combine with flow work, it is required to develop small portable pneumatic marking system. It is able to be installed easily and operated flexibly. The marking celerity is fast and the marks produced by it are clear. In addition, this system does not only need lower cost, but also works very stably.The portable pneumatic marking system adopts widely used 32-bits embedded RISC (Reduced Instruction Set Computer) processor with high performance to replace traditional PC and single-chip microcomputer. It is able to complete input of characters, displaying parameters, computing outline coordinates, interpolation algorithm and controlling mark. During being analyzed of system's demand, the embedded system design is choosed. S3C44B0X is used as core processor which has low-dissipation 32-bits ARMTDMI kernel, and uC/OS-â…¡with small multi-task real-time kernel is used as embedded operating system. Human-computer interaction is composed by PS/2 keyboard as input device and LCD as display device. SD card is used to save files. Linear interpolation algorithm is used to control marking, which make the output pulse smoother. After design of hardware circuit being finished, uC/OS-â…¡operating system will be transplanted to hardware platform. Then the application program will be designed for every module. The GUI (Graphics User Interface) system is adopted for LCD, which can display interface and character graphics. FAT file system is employed to read, write and delete files on SD card. The vector fonts being utilized for transformting coordinate such as scaleing and rotateing outline, so markers on LCD are previewed. And marking celerity, times and space are controlled.By being designed of hardware modules and software program, the system has more perfect function. Marking graphics can be observed on LCD and items are setted visually. The context of marking, the parameters of context and the parameters of marking can be modified. The system has better human-computer interaction and larger storage space which can be extended to 1G on SD card. The file system can save font files, marking context files and marking parameters files. Every step of pressing key are combined with corresponding Chinese prompt. Meanwhile, the system starts fast and has more marking function. The marks made by it are clear, beautiful and standard, which meet the requirement of the market.
