Mega frame structure is a large, complex structural systems, is also a new high-rise structure system, although this type of structure at home and abroad, some of the engineering practice, but for its innovative features on the giant structure at home and abroad to carry out a comprehensive and systematic research is still rare, theoretical research lags behind practice. China's mega-structure, though not long, but because of the importance attached by the construction industry, also made remarkable achievements.In this paper, taking three-dimensional finite element analysis software SAP2000 (V11.0.8 Advanced), analysising of the mega steel frame of the static structure of the performance, in-depth studying on the structure of the level of vertical load and wind load transmission mechanism, mechanical properties and deformation characteristics.The internal force and deformation of the structure as the main study, exploring the framework of the main, sub-frame connections, the influence of the open hole location and the number of open holes on lateral rigidity of the mega steel frame and so on.the dynamic characteristics of mega steel frame is studided, exploring the dynamic response of the non-opening and opening hole model .Eventually the mega steel frame design proposals for engineering design reference are given.
