With the development of high-rise building, the super high-rise building plays more and more role. Mega structure is a new structural system of super high-rise building. Due to distinct load-transform path and flexible arrangement of main structure and subordinate structure, mega steel fame can be used to satisfy special building forms and functions. Its primary structure is composed of huge truss or huge frame, worked together with secondary structural .As far as mega-frame, one typical form of mega structure, concerned its characteristic under static loads, dynamic loads, wind-induced vibration and earthquake is analyzed systematically in this dissertation. In the research process, the method of the finite element analysis was mainly make use of.According to the trend of the development of high-rise buildings, the concepts, characteristics, classification and applications of mega-structures are presented in the paper.The static characteristic of mega frame is discussed. The internal force, displacement and load-transform mechanics of structure induced by vertical and horizontal loads are studied.The influences of ream connection and fixed connection of the secondary structure, hole position and number of subordinate structure and so on are also discussed according to internal force, displacement and efficiency. Finally, I gained many helpful conclusions.Elastic seismic behavior in ordinary earthquake and elastic-plastic seismic behavior under strong motion earthquakes of these mega-frame models are studied by using time history analysis method. The influences of dimensions of earthquake wave, second-order effects and damping ratio on time history at analysis are discussed.Finally, some conclusions about the theoretical analysis method are draw, which provide the reasonable theory and reliable data for the revision of the high-rise building code.
