In recent years, along with the escalation of use function and the production technique , the building structure is developing to the large column grid, the large bay, the large span. As the major composition member of structure,large-span beam can supply big use space,so its application is increasingly payed more attention to. although it is difficult to find an economic and reasonable scheme with lesser structural height among common nonprestressed reinforcement concrete structure, in company with the development of modern structure material ,design theory and electricity calculation technology,it became possible to use prestressed concrete beam, steel reinforced concrete beam, steel-concrete composite beam and so on to build large-span beam.The paper mainly studied 35m single-span roof simple beam of training fitness hall in Hefei sorts school, elaborating the application of structural design and analysis principle about large-span beam. In view of 35m single-span simple beam, the paper mostly designed prestressed concrete beam, steel reinforced concrete beam, steel-concrete composite beam three kinds of structure schemes. Firstly, according to corresponding computation theory , actual loading and constraint condition, the paper initially determined appropriate dimension range of prestressed concrete beam, steel reinforced concrete beam, steel-concrete composite beam ,which conformed to corresponding code. then ascertained optimal section size and materical parameter for three kind of beam by calculating bearing capacity, width of fractures and deflection. Secondly, the paper compared construction cost of three kind of beam from the aspect of economy. Finally, the paper analysized stress and deformation of prestressed concrete beam, steel reinforced concrete beam, steel-concrete composite beam by using finite element analysis software ANSYS, demonstrating the validity and feasibility of structure scheme .The paper not only solved structural design problem of 35m single-span roof simple beam of training fitness hall in Hefei sorts school from theoretical analysis angle, but also compared different kind of beam from economy angle. The research result not only has strong economy serviceability to practice engineering, but also can supply some reference for the design of similar large-span simply supported beam.
