Fault selection for the non-effective single-phase earth system is an important task for the work of power system protection relay. But the records of field operation show that the effect of device for selection is disappointing. The problem isn't solved completely. Traditional single fualt-dectetion method using single algorithm and only some parts of fault information has poor reliability. Under the circumstances, a feasible way is to set several methods to integrate algorithms for fault-dection. The available zone based on several algorithms have is certainly greater than that based on single algorithm has. Using the complementarity of various algorithm is to improve correctness and reliability for fault-dectection.It is a supermatic device of fault selection for the non-effective single-phase earth system. It uses the TMS320F2812 made in TI company as control kernel and multiple algorithms to realize fault selection. It aslo uses ethernet interface and serial interface to make technology of embed and field bus intergate into the devcie. It's a advanced device of fault selection for the non-effective single-phase earth system. It will compensate the shortage that single algorithm has. It analyzes fault information from serveral angles and selects fault line, and ensures distribution system working in security and reliability.
