The paper designs the software of Platform Inertial Navigation System simulator which has visual interface and can show various navigation parameter and error curve dynamically.The paper introduces the working principle and various working states of Platform Inertial Navigation System, such as undamped, in-level damping, out-level damping, in-full boost damping, out-full boost damping, and unifies the mathematic model of Inertial Navigation System under various working states, so that the conversion of the INS's states and simulation program are more convenient.According to the constitution of simulation system, the paper introduce four simulation models of Platform Inertial Navigation System and their mathematic models and gives the simulation program of INS under various states. The simulation results prove that each model and simulation is correct.The paper designs the structure and visual interface of the simulation software of Platform Inertial Navigation System. The interface has well interactive function. The software can display various navigation parameters and path of ship when the simulation parameters are given. The software has some practical value.At last, the paper simulates Platform Inertial Navigation System under undamped, in-level damping, out-level damping, in-full boost damping, out-full boost damping, Initial Alignment and Combinated Navigation with the software designing, and draws relative error curve. Simulation proves that the result is correct, and the design of simulation software is successful.
