As large enterprises, there are a lot of emotional load, power grids need to absorb the large number of non-functional capacity, the electricity sector in order to save power and improve the quality of power, the need for reactive power compensation system.Thyristor switched capacitor(TSC)is a new direction of the static vat compensator(SVC)technology. The characteristics of its various main circuits are analyzed.Some key problems on developing TSC device are introduced including the criterion of switched capacitor,the data detectionmethod,zero—voltage switching—on and the triggering circuit for thyristors.Thyristor Switched capacitor from the basic principles of classification profile, the main circuit wiring, detection and control strategies, such as TSC system introduced in the dynamic reactive power compensation of the status quo, pointed out the existence of the TSC technical problems and proposed solutions Programme. TSC reactive compensation devices with a fine performance of reactive power compensation, have a high value and broad market prospects.
