Standby reserve is an effective way to improve the system reliability. This thesis dwells on the statistical analysis methods of the reliability of the Cold Standby system which is made up of the two components (a working part and a standby part). Based on the establishment of the reliability model for the Cold Standby system, the approximation algorithm on the calculation of the system reliability is first worked out; the confidence lower limit of the system reliability is then calculated by using WCF method and Fiducial method; and the Bayes estimation and the multiple Bayes estimation of the system reliability are finally discussed. The analog computation of the above statistical analysis methods carried out in the thesis shows satisfactory results. The analysis methods of the system reliability of the two-part Cold Standby system discussed in the thesis can be extended to similar cases of multiple parts.
